The Scotsman: “Irvine Welsh, the Edinburgh author best known for his tales of the Capital’s heroin scene in Trainspotting, is set to reveal that his favourite movie is a classic Hollywood musical.

The author is to take part in an event this week where he will discuss his “desert island movies”, with fans likely to be surprised by the list.”
