The Scotsman (it’s always the bloody Scotsman) does a good round up of the One City event, which saw 2000 people turn up to hear Irvine Welsh, Alexander McCall Smith and Ian Rankin give readings to support the One City book. The article also points out that the whole One City event was actually Welsh’s idea in the first place, which I hadn’t realised before.
