Irvine Welsh, Ian Rankin and Alexander McCall Smith have all contributed a long short story to One City, a book about Edinburgh that’s also dedicated to raising money for the One City charity. Although all three authors are making appearances next week to promote the book, it’s not actually being published until January 2006 for the rest of us non-Edinburgh types to get it.
